Meet our team

Bill Mulligan
Founder, CEO and Board Member

Bill was the founder, CEO, Group President and Board Director of Cordium from 2001 to 2018. Cordium was a pioneer in the use of technology in GRC consulting and was acquired by ACA Group in 2018. Bill was a Partner and member of the Executive Committee of ACA Group from the acquisition of Cordium to December 31, 2018. From 2019 to early 2023 via Mulligan Ventures, he served as a consultant advising clients on the GRC sector. Bill has a BA from Boston University and JD from Cornell Law School.

Chris Lombardy
Founder & President

Chris has over 25 years of experience including as Legal Counsel and CCO for RIA of multibillion dollar fund-of-hedge funds business. Most recently Chris was Managing Director at Kroll (formerly Duff & Phelps). Throughout his career Chris has worked closely with investment advisory clients on matters such as: establishing compliance and operations infrastructures, identifying and addressing risks and conflicts, operational due diligence, mock regulatory examinations, and preparing for and navigating regulatory examinations. He is a frequent lecturer and speaker on panels on all matters related to GRC. Chris has a BS, and MBA from American University, and JD from St. Thomas University School of Law.

Alan Binder
CFO

Alan was most recently the CFO of Miniature Market which is an ecommerce fully owned subsidiary of Asmodee Group. From 2008 to 2018 he was the US and Software CFO of Cordium. At Cordium, Alan worked closely with the management team on private equity transactions and M&A activity engaged in by Cordium. Alan has a BSBA from Washington University in St. Louis.

Peter Wilson
COO

Peter most recently was the Head of U.S. Compliance Consulting at Kroll (formerly Duff & Phelps).  In addition, he has held numerous senior level management positions with the asset management industry, including serving as a CCO and legal counsel.  Peter began his legal career in the U.S. Army JAG Corps.  He holds a BBA from Loyola College and a JD with honors from Pace University School of Law.

Jacob Cane
Managing Director – Head of Cybersecurity Risk Services

Jacob has over 25 years of experience providing cybersecurity and IT services. Jacob was the co-founder and CEO of Proactive Technologies, an outsourced IT and cybersecurity provider to investment managers. Proactive was acquired by Abacus Group, where Jacob was a member of the leadership team. Jacob was most recently the Global Head of Customer Success & Strategy at Drawbridge Partners, a cybersecurity firm serving the investment industry. Jacob has a BA from Columbia University and maintains a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.

Alan Knepfer
Chief Revenue Officer

Alan brings his 25+ years of experience leading, building and reinventing scalable revenue organizations to Salus GRC.  Most recently Alan served as CRO of RadarFirst, a company focused on Privacy Incident Management. Prior to that he served as President and CRO of Comodo Cyber Security. Throughout his many successes and exceptional track record of creating high-performing and process-driven cultures, there have been two constants in addition to phenomenal sales and profitability results; a delighted client base and a foundation of employees prepared to follow anywhere.

Jacqueline Hallihan
Chief GRC Officer and Board Member

Jackie is a pioneer in the compliance consulting industry, with a proven track record as an entrepreneur who founded multiple regulatory compliance and technology companies, including a founding partner at Ascendant Compliance Management and founder and CEO of National Regulatory Services. She brings over 30 years of experience, and most recently served in an Executive Director role in compliance services within a RegTech firm. As Chief GRC Officer at SalusGRC, she is responsible for spearheading Salus GRC’s global GRC strategies, with a focus on maximizing growth opportunities. She is a founder and life-time member of the National Society of Compliance Professionals (NSCP).
